Millora-Brown Transfers to Vanderbilt

Forward joins Commodores from Rice

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt head coach Jerry Stackhouse announced that forward Quentin Millora-Brown has transferred to Vanderbilt from Rice and will be eligible to compete for the Commodores in the 2020-21 season.

“Quentin had an impressive first season playing collegiate basketball at Rice, and we are excited to have him join the Commodore basketball family,” said Stackhouse. “He showed flashes as a freshman of becoming a major factor on the glass as a rebounder and his passing ability and basketball IQ are outstanding for a young front court player. We’re thrilled to welcome him and his family to Nashville.”

Millora-Brown, a 6-10 forward from Lorton, Virginia, played in all 32 games for Rice in 2018-19, making 28 starts, where he led the team and was third in Conference USA in field goal percentage, connecting on 59.8% from the field, which set a Rice freshman record. He finished seventh in the league in blocks per game (1.2) and offensive rebounds (2.2), and led the team with 37 blocks, the second-most by a freshman in school history and the fourth-most ever in a season.

He also finished eighth on Rice’s all-time freshman single-season list with 188 rebounds. He scored in double figures 11 times, and posted five double-doubles as a true freshman, including a 14-point, 16-rebound performance against Florida International. His 16 rebounds were the fourth-most by a freshman in school history. He was also named to the 2019 Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
